The world seems dark at times. The world is downright scary even, with economic instability, terrorism, Ebola, not to mention the crime we face in society each and every day publicized in the news. What about the issues we all face each day in our lives, sickness, marital problems, family dysfunction, money issues, lack of happiness, and daily chaos. Where is God in it all? Can it be…God is dead?
Friedrich Nietzsche is a famous German philosopher who said, “God is dead.” It seems today that people are giving up on the Church, belief in the Bible, and faith in God through Christ. Are you struggling with your faith? Do you have your doubts about the existence of God, of truth, of a true good and evil? Maybe you feel God is dead.
Summit Road Baptist Church invites you to come and explore your doubts. We are showing the movie God’s Not Dead on Sunday, January 25, 2015 at 5:30 pm. The pastor will be preaching sermons that tackle the tough issues of life through the month of January.
The issues include Where is God When Life Falls Apart, Is Our Faith Blind?, Welcoming Skepticism, and Take A Stand.
