COVID19 PRECAUTIONS AND IN-SERVICE GUIDELINES:

Masks and Social Distancing:
We recommend that our congregants wear some type of face covering until you sit down. If you are not wearing a face mask please keep at least a 3 foot social distancing (per new guidelines). Extra face masks will be available in lobby.

In accordance with CDC Guidelines, cloth face coverings should not be placed on children younger than 2 years old, anyone who has trouble breathing or is unconscious, and anyone who is incapacitated or otherwise unable to remove the cloth face covering without assistance. Cloth face coverings are meant to protect other people in case the wearer is unknowingly infected but does not have symptoms.
We ask that everyone abide by the rules of social distancing inside and outside of the church building.  We acknowledge that there are different views regarding wearing masks and social distancing but request everyone to respect each other’s views, demonstrating Christian love one to another, and please diligently follow social distancing.   Please remember that if you are not feeling well, as much as we would love to see you, we ask that you remain at home.

Entering and being seated:

ENTRANCE TO THE BUILDING SHOULD BE THROUGH THE MAIN FOYER DOORS.
Please maintain the 3 ft. social distancing interval as you enter to be seated.

We ask that those who gather sit every other pew. If not in your physical family, please sit 6 feet away from the next closest person alternating opposite ends of the open pews. Again, if not in your physical family, please sit 3 feet away from the next closest person.

Children must be seated with their family in the Worship Center and must always remain with their family as well as be accompanied by a parent to the restroom or nursery.

Hand Shaking:
We ask everyone to refrain from all hand shaking and physical contact in adherence to state and local health guidelines.

Childcare and Children’s Church:
For now, no childcare or children’s church will be provided, but children are welcome and encouraged to attend the service.

Nursery:
The nursery will be open to provide access to the diaper changing station but will not be staffed.

Sanitation:
The sanctuary, nursery (changing station) and rest rooms will be thoroughly sanitized prior to every Worship Service. Restrooms will have available, soap, sanitizer, and disinfectant wipes. Hand sanitizer will be available for use at the entrance of the Sanctuary.

Water:
The drinking fountain will be closed. If you require a drink of water, please let an Usher know and we will be happy to provide you with a bottled water or you may feel free to bring your own.

Music Ministry:
Music ministry will be provided by members of one family limited to four individuals or by soloists with performance tracks.

Worship Service:
The Worship Service will be about 50 minutes. We do not want families with small children to have to struggle to keep children seated and happy. Families are welcome to bring quiet activities for small children. We also have "Busy Boards" for children available in the lobby.

Offering:
You may have your offering prepared before you enter the building as an offering plate will be available at the entrance of the sanctuary.  Additionally, Summit Road Baptist Church is now offering online giving.

General Questions:

What if I have been sick?
If you have a fever or symptoms of COVID-19 or known exposure to a COVID-19 case in the prior 14 days, we ask that you not attend. Furthermore, do not come if you are showing any of the following symptoms of COVID-19: cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fever, chills, muscle pain, sore throat, new loss of taste or smell, or (less common) nausea/vomiting/diarrhea.

Will restrooms be available?
Yes, and soap, sanitizer and disinfectant wipes will be available.

Will children’s church be offered on Sunday mornings?
For now, we will only resume the 11:00 AM corporate worship gathering.

What safety measures can I expect to see on a Sunday morning?
Our plan involves propping all main doors open until services begin, having ample hand sanitizing stations, and organized seating.
